Over 1500 people attended the First Annual Fiddleheads Family Food Festival on May 10 at their Central Avenue location in Dover. Over 20 vendors sampled their wares with everything from swordfish & tuna kabobs & ice cold watermelon to Red Hook Brewery beer samples and chips & salsa. Prizes were given away every hour with a Grand Prize of a $250 gift card to Fiddleheads Each customer got 6 chances to win a range of prizes from a personal wine cooler to Portland Sea Dogs tickets to movie passes. With bins at the end of the cash wrap each customer could decide which prize drawings they would like to enter. Oakie the Oakhurst Acorn along with DJs from Dover's 98.7 The Bay provided entertainment to accompany the delicious food.
