In 1973, Pat and Paul D'0razio opened The Broken Pushcart, a humble produce market at Weeks Crossing in Dover, New Hampshire.
Through the D'Orazios' hard work and commitment to area farmers and customers alike, The Broken Pushcart soon became part of the fabric of the Dover Community a popular destination to shop for fresh produce.
As years passed, the market continued to flourish and the D'Orazios recruited the help of long time friend and uncle, Miles Halstead to help manage the market and continue the commitment set forth by Pat and Paul.
Together, with the help of their families, Pat, Paul and Miles continued to work with area farmers and food purveyors to ensure their customers received the freshest produce from across New England and continually introduced new products and departments that would expand the markets offerings and enhance their customers' experience.
In 2004, The Broken Pushcart was renovated under the direction of the D'Orazio's son, Tony and nephew Chuck Halstead, and a new vision for the market was born.
Through their leadership, Tony and Chuck established relationships with some of the finest local merchants and offered them the opportunity to sell their delicacies under one roof at Fiddlehead Farms Marketplace.
Reminiscent of a European style market, Fiddlehead Farms Marketplace was a success and shoppers from across the Seacoast appreciated the opportunity to shop for all their favorite local food vendors in one convenient trip.
Today, Fiddlehead Farms Marketplace remains a family affair dedicated to offering customers all the ingredients they need to prepare a delicious, healthy meal.
